Phronesis Blog Series

In October 2025 Scott invited me to do a series of conversations with him on his Phronesis podcast inspired by the challenge of closing the ‘knowing doing gap’ in leader development work. He titled them “Exploring Purpose,” episodes one, two and three. They allowed us to explore Scott and my current focus on practical applications that can turn our academic research into useful tools, methods and more for leaders.

After being on Scott Allen’s Phronesis podcast in May of 2021, (you can listen to that episode here), Scott suggested we co-host a series connected to the book Maturing Leadership. I did an introductory overview, and then Scott and I had conversations with eight of the chapter authors (nine if you add in my own) during the fall of 2022. These aired from the end of 2022 to late February 2023. To go along with these podcast episodes, I wrote a series of blog posts. I’ve posted links to each below in the order they came out.
